In the sermon I suggested that wealth had become an idol that stood in the place of God, and stopped the rich young ruler from following Christ. By many criteria most of us relatively wealthy as individuals and as a church - at the end we discussed how we might tell if wealth has become an idol for us, that prevents us from following Christ unconditionally and wholeheartedly?
